In the successful administration of our youth work project, we sought to achieve several critical objectives that we firmly believed would foster a deep understanding and appreciation of Moravian cultural heritage among the youth. These objectives, carefully designed and implemented, encompassed various areas from traditional craftsmanship to modern media integration, all tailored to engage and educate the participants thoroughly. Our first objective was to engage young people in mapping and exploring traditional craftsmanship and art forms prevalent in Moravian culture. We organized numerous hands-on workshops where participants interacted directly with experts. These sessions not only allowed them to gain practical skills but also provided insights into the historical significance and cultural relevance of traditional crafts. The active participation in these workshops demonstrated a successful achievement of this objective, as participants developed a profound appreciation and understanding of these age-old practices. Secondly, we aimed to foster critical thinking and creativity among our participants. This was approached by encouraging them to reflect on the traditional crafts they learned and to transform these insights into contemporary art pieces. Utilizing various artistic techniques and mediums, participants created innovative works that reinterpreted traditional motifs and designs. This objective was met as evidenced by the creation of a diverse array of contemporary art pieces, showcasing the successful fusion of historical appreciation with modern creativity. Our third objective focused on deepening the participants' understanding of cultural heritage as a fundamental aspect of European identity. Through experiential learning and structured discussions, participants explored how cultural heritage influences both individual and collective identities. This initiative strengthened their sense of belonging and fostered a greater appreciation for diversity. The engagement in these discussions confirmed that this objective was effectively met. Integrating modern media tools was another significant objective. We utilized digital storytelling, and presentations to enhance learning outcomes and extend the project's reach. Participants were encouraged to document their experiences and share their insights daily, which promoted dialogue and exchange beyond the project's immediate circle. Lastly, we sought to raise awareness about the endangered status of certain folk arts and crafts. Through direct engagement and expert discussions, participants learned about the challenges facing these crafts. They were also involved in brainstorming sessions to develop potential strategies for the conservation and revival of these traditions. This objective was met as participants demonstrated a clear understanding and commitment to the preservation of cultural heritage. Overall, all the set objectives were successfully met.
