The project aimed to encourage youth into local volunteering and join communities and understand what is the best way for them to start. Nowadays, many good causes depend on volunteering and helping other people. At the same time, many youngsters are missing a hobby with deeper value and thanks to local volunteering, both of these issues could be covered at the same time. The project focused on helping youth to understand all the perks and obstacles of becoming a volunteer, understand what is their most preferred field of interest and how to connect with organizations and people around them. We explored this topic through active volunteering during the project, discussions and creating action plans, where each participant had a chance to make a first step into the world of being a volunteer. Objectives: A) Gather 34 motivated youngsters willing to change their lives thanks to volunteering (aiming to have half of the participants with fewer opportunities) B) Focus on the fears and needs of participants when it comes to the topic of volunteering C) Involve participants in 3 different volunteering activities during the project D) Create 34 action plans E) Gather 34 testimonies 3 months after the project, once the participants are already volunteering at their hometowns F) Create a short guidebook about stepping into volunteering, prepared by the participants which will contain a sum of the whole project's ideas G) Emphasize participants in living following sustainable principles such as plant-based food, mindful use of water and electricity, and respecting the nature surrounding us. H) Have positive feedback from local stakeholders who got help from the participants
