Objectives

The project “Business Skills for a Better Life” aimed to respond to the current needs of young people, including those with fewer opportunities, who face uncertainty in the labour market, a lack of entrepreneurial and financial skills, and low levels of self-confidence and self-awareness. Many young people have the potential to implement their ideas, but lack the skills, experience and support to do so. The project focused on developing entrepreneurial thinking, communication and presentation skills, teamwork and creativity. At the same time, we aimed to support participants in better understanding themselves — their strengths, values and motivations. To achieve this, we incorporated the IKIGAI methodology throughout the programme as a tool for reflection and personal development. Another important intention was to create a space for intercultural exchange and dialogue, where young people from different countries could learn to work in international teams, challenge stereotypes and develop empathy. A strong emphasis was placed on including participants with fewer opportunities — whether due to geographical, economic, cultural or health-related obstacles — and providing them with full support and access to the experience. The specific objectives of the project were: to develop among young people the basic entrepreneurial and financial skills applicable in both professional life and personal projects; to equip participants with the ability to present their ideas effectively, speak in public and build their self-confidence; to enhance teamwork, intercultural dialogue and problem-solving abilities in international environments; to help participants discover their inner motivation and strengths using the IKIGAI methodology and other reflective tools; to create an environment where young people can inspire each other, connect and develop their own ideas with impact in their local communities; to motivate participants to engage in further non-formal education and Erasmus+ opportunities.
