Objectives

The primary purpose of the EDU-Facilitation 3.0 project was to address a recognized need among youth workers for enhanced communication, facilitation and creative competences in the field of non-formal education (NFE). Based on consultations with our project partners, it was evident that many youth workers lacked the necessary tools, methods, and experience to consistently design and facilitate educational activities with meaningful and lasting impact, be it due to their inexperience or because they felt the need for new ideas and diverse experiences. The project's design was also fundamentally guided by a commitment to inclusion and diversity, which were considered essential in light of recent global developments and the diverse target groups of our partner organizations. We ensured the entire program reflected the core principles of the Erasmus+ Youth Quality Standards to achieve a high level of quality and impact. Our specific objectives were to: Improve creativity and communication competence of 30 youth workers to create and facilitate meaningful experiential learning workshops in safe environment Raise awareness and understanding of 30 youth workers about their personality, competences, values, attitudes, behaviour, background and ways to self-express Evaluate and improve competences of 30 youth workers related to NFE and youth work including creativity, facilitation, communication, self-care, well-being, burnout prevention, inclusion and diversity Experience and develop non-formal learning methods and activities to support personal and professional development of 30 youth workers through the Creativity Lab experience to prepare and deliver workshops needed by youth and youth workers of partner organisations, local communities to improve their youth work Motivate 30 youth workers to share obtained skills and knowledge about innovation in non-formal education with their organisations and local communities Increase the 30 youth workers’ awareness of climate change, environment and youth work sustainable and environmentally responsible methods and approaches Increase knowledge of the opportunities of Erasmus+, ESC and EU opportunities to motivate the 30 youth workers to create new projects, european corporations and support active citizenship These objectives were successfully achieved through the preparation, implementation, and follow-up phases of the project. A key outcome was the creation of numerous NFE workshops that were directly applicable and highly needed by our partner organizations. The quality of the workshops, and, for some partners, the dissemination phase surpassed our expectations. This increased the motivation of participants to both create and deliver these workshops in their local communities. As a testament to their quality, several of these workshop templates were approved and uploaded to the Salto-Youth Toolbox for trainers, significantly boosting the project's reach and impact. Alignment with EU Youth Goals The project directly supported Youth Goal of Quality Learning (participants designed and tested experiential learning workshops), Youth Organisations & European Programmes (awareness of Erasmus+, ESC and new project ideas), Sustainable Green Europe (eco-friendly practices and several ecology-themed workshops), and Information & Constructive Dialogue (structured reflection groups and feedback routines). We also ensured meaningful youth participation in decisions during the course (daily reflection groups, co-creation of sessions).
