We draw on the experience of partner organisations from previous work with young people and reflection on current global trends - the rise of dis/misinformation, the decline of democracy and increased threat perceptions in a world of uncertainty and information overload. We are responding to the need to comprehensively address the issue of misinformation, increasing social resilience and promoting mental health. Data shows a growing distrust of democratic institutions and increasing anxiety and depression among young people, highlighting the urgency of the need for projects like this one. Main objective: To strengthen individual and societal resilience to misinformation through media literacy and mental health promotion. Secondary objective: To promote awareness of historical totalitarian regimes in order to strengthen democratic values. Activities target young people aged 18-24 in educational forums, drawing on alumni partners, with public debates for wider impact.
