The purpose of the project was to invite young people to active participation through a pyramid of continuous activities culminating in the Ji.hlava Vibes programme at the 28th annual Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival. The main objective was to involve a specific number of adolescents with the intention of developing specifically identified competencies necessary for active citizenship, media and digital literacy and to contribute to the achievement of EU youth goals, especially mental health, quality education and equal opportunities for all, including youth from rural regions such as the Vysočina Region, where our festival is held. The structure of the activities was designed: - to identify first the priority topics of the youth and the needs they have in relation to addressing them - in order to reflect these topics and needs in the teenager program of the festival and to effectively implement our non-formal educational activities for youth (that is why the event "Sell your program" was planned for the beginning of the project, aimed at getting to know the target group better and the dramaturgy of the final event of the project); - to help the participants learn how to be active citizens through continuous educational activities and to support the successful achievement of the project results (that is why for the first phase a preparatory seminar for those interested in participating in the call "Share psycho in . Head" and other follow-up activities aimed at supporting the participants of this call in developing films aimed at reflecting on mental discomfort; and therefore, the involvement of teenagers in the planning and organisation of the Ji.hlava Vibes youth programme within the "Experience the festival from the inside" internship activities was also planned. The event "Ji.hlava Vibes 2024", to which all the previous activities were directed, was to bring a showcase of films submitted to the above-mentioned call and follow-up informal educational activities involving students (and with the aim of future multiplication of benefits also their teachers) in the town of the venue, and at the same time a teenager program for the public, dramaturgically designed and organized in cooperation with the teenage participants of the project.
