The completion of SMT-Project 2024 represented another important milestone in ESCP Europe Wirtschaftshochschule Berlin e.V.'s (hereinafter "ESCP") implementation of its envisaged internationalisation strategy. Building on the experience gained through the previous four mobility projects, ESCP continued to expand high-quality international traineeship opportunities, enabling its students to acquire practical study-related work experience in an international context with the support of Erasmus+ funding. In doing so, the project directly contributed to the implementation of ESCP's internationalisation strategy by promoting and supporting international mobility, strengthening cooperation with organisations across Europe, and enhancing students' academic, professional, and personal development. The project's objectives were: • to enable students to enrich their academic studies with practical study-related work experience in an international professional environment; • to broaden participants' understanding of different organisational structures, workplace cultures, and professional practices across Europe; • to strengthen participants' linguistic abilities, digital skills, intercultural and transferable competences relevant to their future professional careers; • to encourage effective cooperation, communication, and teamwork in multicultural and international settings; • to support students' personal growth by increasing their adaptability, independence, and awareness of diverse cultural and professional perspectives; • to improve graduates' employability by equipping them with practical experience, professional soft skills, and intercultural competences required in the European and global labour market. Through the successful implementation of SMT-Project 2024, ESCP reaffirmed its commitment to providing state-of-the-art education that responds to the evolving demands of the global labour market. In this context, practical experience gained through international traineeships is a central building block. These traineeships abroad not only allow students to gain valuable practical experience in a study-related field, but they also provide an international context for the development of important soft skills and a strong impetus for personal growth, thereby supporting the objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme and fostering the development of globally minded graduates.
