We wanted to give students with lower chances the opportunity to participate in an exchange. We students will be prepared for a an independent and self-determined life. 90% of the participants are on the verge of becoming adults and they can be guided by us teachers in that process. The intercultural competence, that is often not very distinctive in the area our school is situated in, was promoted.
The Gewerbeschule Mosbach is a vocational school mit a focus on jobs in industry and handicraft. The exchange is well integrated in our school life. The project was intensively prepared and reworked, with several meetings between the participants and the teachers. Our school has the aim not only to offer vocational training, but also help our students in their personal development, especially through projects like this exchange.
