The aim of the project is to benefit from the mutual dialogue at working level through inter-municipal exchange at European level in peer-to-peer formats. In addition, the quality of administrative work and vocational training at the City of Essen will be improved through international and intercultural skills development for trainees and trainers. Participants benefit both from professional and personal skills development.
With this project the City of Essen aims to integrate European professional exchange into its staff development programme. On the one hand this takes into account the complex, increasingly internationalised tasks of the administration and on the other hand, Essen can benefit greatly from European networking at working level, for example through best-practice exchanges. In addition, the project contributes to Essen's attractiveness as an employer in a competitive labour market environment.
