The implementation of CreaTech Nexus sought to achieve a measurable improvement in the digital knowledge and skills of the target audience, equipping them to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving, technology-driven educational sector. The project aimed to arm educators with cutting-edge competences such as AI literacy, ethical and secure use of digital tools, and integration of emerging technologies into pedagogy, enabling them to adapt reliably to massive digitalisation. A key objective was to foster understanding of AI as a supportive tool designed to enhance, not replace, human capabilities, complementing creativity, intuition, and critical thinking. The primary tangible achievement was the creation of tailored training resources, combining conceptual guidance with instructional video tutorials, enabling participants to integrate AI into their work effectively. These resources supported a mindset shift, encouraging educators to see technology as an opportunity rather than a challenge, thereby reducing the digital divide. This broader cultural transformation enhanced the capacity of partner organisations to navigate the complexities of the digital age while enriching the learning environment for all.
We applied to CreaTech Nexus because our educators faced urgent skills gaps that hampered teaching quality. Internal checks showed that at Arvana no educator in Nov-2023 felt confident with modern digital tools, while IGS found 86% lacked at least three AI-related areas (training, curriculum integration, ethics, data privacy). A majority (91%) preferred short, practice-based learning and dropped out of long courses, signalling the need for concise, applied resources and a systematic pathway. We therefore addressed: low digital/AI literacy, weak pedagogical integration, and uncertainty around ethics and data protection, alongside the need to personalise learning for diverse abilities. Our project responded with an innovative mix - new learning methods and strategies, continuous feedback, and robust monitoring and evaluation - tailored to individuals, building confidence and a culture of continuous learning and adaptability within both organisations, and aligning with EU goals on digital competence and lifelong learning.
