Objectives

Through the accredited Erasmus+ project in the field of youth, JuSeV – Jugendhilfe und Sozialarbeit e. V. aimed to strengthen the personal, social and emotional development of young people and youth work professionals. The project combined themes of mental health, mindfulness, nature experience, democratic citizenship, resilience, and creative self-expression into a holistic learning process developed over six international activities. The main objectives were: To promote the psychosocial well-being of young people and educators through methods of mindfulness, body awareness, and emotional education. To strengthen resilience and self-efficacy, especially among young people with fewer opportunities and professionals working in demanding environments. To improve the quality of youth work through international learning and exchange processes that encourage reflective, resource-oriented, and inclusive practice. To connect nature, spirituality, and social responsibility, fostering awareness for sustainability, community, and values-based education in European youth work. To promote intercultural competence and European solidarity through encounters, shared learning, and the experience of diversity as a strength. To build long-term networks and professional development among participating organisations in the fields of mental health, non-formal education, and social inclusion. In line with the overall goals of the Erasmus+ Programme, the project sought to: Create learning mobilities as spaces for personal growth and reflection, Actively promote inclusion and diversity, Strengthen sustainable youth structures at local and international levels, and Develop key learning competences – learning to be, to do, to relate, and to reflect – through experiential, holistic education.
