Objectives

The objective of our accredited mobility programme is to support the personal, social and professional development of young people and youth workers through high-quality, inclusive and experiential learning activities. The project aims to empower participants to build confidence, strengthen social competences, and take an active role in their communities, while also enhancing the capacity of youth workers to design and deliver meaningful non-formal education. The specific objectives were to promote European values and citizenship through participatory and intercultural learning; to strengthen outdoor and experiential education as inclusive and sustainable tools for personal and social development; to encourage social entrepreneurship and local community engagement; to foster active citizenship and environmental responsibility; to develop new hybrid and digital learning formats using tools such as Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence; and to cultivate creativity as a key competence for employability, innovation, and cross-sectoral collaboration. We focus in particular on outdoor education, movement-based and creative methods, because these environments enable young people to connect with themselves, others and nature in a deep and accessible way. Through climbing, hiking, arts practices, embodied learning, reflective dialogue and shared group living, participants learn cooperation, responsibility, emotional expression and resilience. For youth workers, the project provides space to exchange methods, develop new facilitation skills, and build long-term partnerships across Europe. Through our training course on VR and AI uing Meta Headsets purchased through the exceptional cost funding granted in our application, we contributed to the digital transformation of European youth work. The programme also strengthened our European cooperation network, allowing organisations to exchange practices, co-develop methodologies and support ongoing collaboration beyond individual activities. The programme included a system development activity to strengthen our organisational methodology. Our core facilitation team undertook structured training in outdoor learning with sailing, resulting in five staff members obtaining international sailing certification. This expands our capacity to deliver youth exchanges in maritime outdoor environments, contributes to environmental awareness, and prepares new programme strands for the coming years. Throughout all activities, we prioritise inclusion, safety and participation. We provide structured preparation, clear group agreements, ongoing reflection spaces and individual support when needed. Our recruitment and involvement of partner organisations ensures that participants from diverse backgrounds can take part and benefit. The project aligns strongly with EU Youth Goals, particularly: Goal 3 (Inclusive Societies), Goal 5 (Mental Health & Wellbeing), Goal 9 (Space and Participation for All), and Goal 10 (Sustainable Green Europe). Overall, the objective of the project is to foster learning, cooperation and wellbeing in the youth sector by combining meaningful group experiences with professional development, cultural exchange and long-term partnership building.
