Objectives

The project was built around two main objectives, strengthening the capacity of partner organisations, and enhancing the quality of youth work. To achieve these objectives, the project aimed to equip youth workers, musicians, educators, and activists involved in partner organisations with relevant skills, tools, and knowledge to improve their work with young people. A key focus was on providing practical well-being tools to support the resilience and mental health of youth workers themselves. By strengthening their inner well-being, the project sought to create a ripple effect, enabling them to more effectively foster resilience, emotional awareness, and overall well-being among the young people they work with. This contributes to empowering young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, to take an active role in their communities and participate meaningfully in social and civic life. In parallel, the project aimed to enhance youth work practices through creative and artistic approaches, particularly through music. Participants were equipped with tools to promote human rights, social justice, and civic participation using artistic expression. By strengthening their capacity to use creativity as a form of advocacy, the project enabled them to engage young people in meaningful discussions around inclusion, democratic values, and active citizenship. This approach further supports young people, especially those from marginalised or underrepresented backgrounds, in expressing their voices and contributing to positive social change. A further objective of the project was to strengthen participants’ competences as facilitators and multipliers within their own communities and organisations. Through the songs for rights LACPA methodology (learn, assimilate, create, produce, advocate), participants engaged in experiential and collaborative learning processes that combined non-formal education, music creation, and facilitation practice. the european youth goals served as an additional framework for reflection and creative exploration, encouraging participants to connect artistic expression with themes such as participation, inclusion, connection, and active engagement in society. The project also sought to reinforce the capacity of partner organisations by supporting them in integrating both well-being approaches and music-based advocacy into their ongoing work. This included strengthening their ability to design new projects, expand their activities, and increase their visibility within the youth work field. Alongside these main objectives, the project also promoted key transversal values such as intercultural dialogue, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
