Objectives

By implementing the project, we aimed to strengthen professionals in the European youth and education sector, deepen their competences in experiential education, and foster international networking. The goal was to provide participants with practical training in action-oriented methods of experiential education that they could directly apply in schools, youth education, and youth work institutions. The focus was on promoting personal development, social skills, resilience, and ecological awareness. The trainings took place in nature-based learning environments to provide a counterbalance to urban surroundings and to foster awareness of sustainable and ecological use of resources. Participants were deliberately guided to personal limits (with objective safety guaranteed), for example through group activities such as raft building, allowing them to gain intense learning experiences both within the group and individually. This strengthened their ability to act both as learners and as educators, while creatively contributing their own skills to the learning process. Another goal was the sustainable dissemination of the content: blog posts, social media activities on Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as provided materials, enabled participating professionals to implement the methods in their own contexts and to act as multipliers of the acquired content. By building networks between partner organizations and participants, a stable European network was intended to emerge, enabling future seminars and cooperation and fostering long-term exchange of methods, content, and best practices. The long-term vision is that professionals will be able to develop and apply new, innovative methods, that partnerships between European organizations will be strengthened, and that experiential education will be further spread as an effective tool for education, personal development, and social processes.
