Objectives

Through the implementation of this project, we aimed to make youth exchanges long-term, reliable, and participatory. Securing long-term funding was intended to help us overcome the previous uncertainty caused by individual applications and thereby significantly improve our planning processes. In particular, we wanted to ensure that partner organisations and participants could be involved early and actively in the design of the projects, enabling genuine co-determination and increasing the quality of, and satisfaction with, the activities for all involved. Another central goal was to link the individual youth exchanges more closely in terms of content and to foster sustainable learning processes. Through the systematic transfer and reflection of learning outcomes between consecutive exchanges, participants were meant to become multipliers and deepen their own experiences. Furthermore, we aimed to strengthen existing partnerships and build new cooperations in order to create stable and reliable structures for international youth work. In addition, we sought to ensure continuity within these partnerships, making the long-term added value of the projects visible and reinforcing the motivation for continued participation. A particular focus was placed on promoting participation and awareness of Europe among young people from rural areas, opening up new perspectives for them through international exchanges. In the long term, we also aimed to expand our activities beyond youth exchanges and to link them with our further programmes. In doing so, we hope to sustainably raise awareness among young people of democratic participation, civic engagement, and an ecologically sustainable Europe, and to inspire their enthusiasm for these topics.
