The main aim of the project was to empower young people and youth workers from six European organizations by strengthening their knowledge, skills, and competencies in the field of social inclusion. Through the youth exchange, participants were actively engaged in exploring the negative effects of discrimination, hate speech, racism, and stereotypes, and in understanding how these issues affect individuals and communities across Europe. One of the key objectives of the project was to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where 36 participants, supported by 6 national group leaders and 2 facilitators, could collaborate, share experiences, and learn from one another. Special attention was given to the inclusion of 12 participants with fewer opportunities, who had limited previous experience in Erasmus+ or other European educational programs. The project ensured their active participation and supported their personal and professional development throughout the entire process. The project aimed to improve participants’ social, communication, and organizational skills by using non-formal education methods. Through workshops, group activities, simulations, and interactive sessions, participants developed competencies in teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication. These methods also encouraged active participation, creativity, and mutual understanding among young people from different cultural backgrounds. Another important objective was the improvement of English language communication skills. Throughout the activities, participants were encouraged to use English as a common working language, which helped them become more confident in expressing their ideas, opinions, and experiences in an international environment. In addition, they promoted values of equality, diversity, and inclusion, becoming advocates for a more tolerant and prejudice-free European society. The project also focused on the development of digital competencies. Participants created promotional materials and used online communication tools, which helped them gain practical knowledge in digital content creation and IT-based communication. This experience supported their ability to promote youth initiatives and Erasmus+ opportunities in a modern and accessible way. During the implementation process, participants were introduced to the Erasmus+ programme in more detail and were encouraged to explore further educational and training opportunities at European level. Reflection sessions played an important role, as participants documented their learning outcomes through Youthpass certificates and developed a better understanding of self-assessment and personal development monitoring. Intercultural learning was another important component of the project. Participants took part in intercultural evenings, where they shared traditions, culture, and customs from their home countries. They also participated in a local cultural visit, which allowed them to better understand the host country’s heritage and social context. Additionally, a study visit to a social affairs center was organized, providing them with practical insight into real-life social inclusion work.
