In the bilateral youth exchange project "Our green stage", young participants dealt with current social issues relating to the environment, the climate crisis and contextualise them in their own way with artistic and aesthetic practices. The artistic exploration in "Our green stage" enabled creative access to the participants' lifeworld-orientated ideas and thus connects art with current issues in our society. The project idea and main focus came from youngsters who met each other in Georgia during the youth exchange project “Sky Above Us, Earth below Us, Fire within Us". From the feedback that both partners received from their youth and the questions that came up during the project, partners concluded that young people were interested in environmental issues, climate crisis, sustainability. They are aware of the future of our planet, as it is a relevant question of the actual generation of youngsters. “Our green stage” aimed to raise a young European generation to become more aware of environmental issues and give it knowledge to become more conscious on a global scale about globally connected challenges of today's society. Project had following objectives: 1. Encourage youth to become more active in their home communities by participating in ecological actions; 2. To promote better understanding of different cultures through discussions, presentations and common work through the specific topic of enivronnement, climate crisis and consumption. 3. To foster exchanges of knowledge, best practices and ideas among youth for eco-related activities they can do in community; 4. To empower youngsters from both countries to become more self-confident by working in creative and aesthetic ways of nonformal education; 5. To explore the cultural influences on everyday actions, especially on questions about waste management, global corelations and issues of climate crisis; 6. To stimulate the development of intercultural and international dialogue among different cultures and fields of art through cultural and nonformal educational activities.
