The "Building Bonds, Breaking Bullying! (B4!)" project was a Youth Exchange initiative designed to address the pressing issue of peer bullying and promote tolerance among young people. The project’s primary goal was to raise awareness about various forms of bullying, including peer, cyber, social, and sexual, while educating participants on its causes through a socio-cultural perspective. By engaging participants in research, workshops, and creative activities, the project sought to highlight effective resistance and prevention strategies and shared these findings in an accessible format, such as a booklet. A key objective of the project was to foster skill development among participants. Through creative drama and role-playing activities, participants cultivated empathy and an understanding of bullying’s impact. Additionally, the project emphasized enhancing research, presentation, and ICT skills, with a particular focus on safe internet usage. Participants also improved their foreign language proficiency while gaining confidence in public speaking and cross-cultural collaboration. In line with the Erasmus+ Program’s objectives, the project actively promoted inclusion and diversity. It brought together young people from Germany, Turkey, Spain, and Romania to share cultural experiences, engage in dialogue, and learn from one another. Special attention was given to marginalized groups, such as Roma communities, Syrian refugees, and socially disadvantaged youth, ensuring their active participation and representation. This approach fostered a sense of unity and built mutual respect among participants. The project also supported the broader goals of active citizenship and social responsibility by equipping young people with the skills and knowledge to challenge harmful behaviors and foster inclusivity. By encouraging youth to develop tolerant behaviors and critical thinking skills, the project contributed to the priorities of the European Youth Strategy 2019-2027. It also aimed to share outcomes and best practices at local, national, and European levels, creating a ripple effect of positive change. Ultimately, the "B4!" project empowered participants to act as advocates for a more inclusive and respectful society. By combining education, skill-building, and cultural exchange, it inspired young people to address social challenges, foster collaboration, and actively participate in shaping a more tolerant and cohesive future.
