By implementing this project, we wanted to strengthen young people’s knowledge, skills, and competences in environmental protection through international cooperation and non-formal learning. We aimed to create a space where participants could better understand environmental challenges, reflect on their own habits, and develop more responsible attitudes toward nature, sustainability, and resource use. At the same time, the project aimed to support the personal and social development of participants, especially by improving their communication, intercultural understanding, and active participation in youth initiatives. A particular priority was to involve participants with fewer opportunities, giving them access to an international learning experience, stronger self-confidence, and greater visibility in a supportive and inclusive environment. The project also aimed to help participants gain experience in non-formal education methods, exchange ideas and practices with peers from other countries, and become more motivated to take part in environmental actions in their own communities. Through activities such as workshops, discussions, creative tasks, practical visits, and intercultural evenings, we wanted participants to learn how to apply greener habits in daily life and how to promote environmental awareness among other young people. At organisational level, we wanted to strengthen international cooperation and knowledge-sharing among the partner organisations. The project was intended to create a platform for exchanging national practices, building new partnerships, and improving the capacity of the organisations to work on environmental topics through Erasmus+ and future youth projects. The main objectives of the project were: To improve the skills and knowledge of young people in the field of environmental protection through participatory non-formal educational activities and workshops. To develop innovative methods for raising environmental awareness and promoting the sustainable use of natural resources, taking into account the local context. To share and integrate national good practices in order to involve young people more actively in environmental initiatives. To encourage eco-friendly habits among young people and empower them to act as promoters of positive environmental change. To strengthen international cooperation between organisations working on environmental protection and youth participation, while promoting the exchange of successful methods and experiences. Overall, we wanted the project to contribute both to the individual development of participants and to the long-term capacity of the partner organisations, while promoting a greener, more aware, and more active youth community.
