Objectives

The objectives of this project were: To increase the knowledge of the hazards that radicalization and violent extremism represented to themselves and society at large among 50 young people from Germany, Turkey, Czechia, Romania, and Bulgaria who were without or had fewer opportunities (with a focus on those from rural and isolated places). To enable youth to take the lead and implement local campaigns to stop and oppose violent extremism and radicalization among their peers. To inspire youth to participate in civic life and build secure communities and democracies. To establish a secure and welcoming environment where people exchanged ideas, experiences, and best practices for preventing violent extremism and radicalization. To encourage European identity and values in young people within and outside of the initiative. This youth exchange included five partners from Germany, Turkey, Czechia, Romania, and Bulgaria. Each partner sent 10 participants aged 17 to 30, including one group leader with no age limit. The youth exchange took place in Çeşme, Turkey, and lasted for 8 + 2 days (arrival and departure). The activity was realized from 02 to 11 December 2024. Wherever possible, participants traveled to the venue using green travel means of transport.
