The project “Together for Diversity: Youth as Ambassadors” aimed to promote intercultural understanding, democratic participation, and the reduction of prejudice among young people from Germany and Azerbaijan. Its main objective was to empower young people to become active contributors to an open, diverse, and discrimination-sensitive society. Through direct exchange and cooperation between participants from different cultural backgrounds, the project encouraged mutual respect, challenged stereotypes, and fostered a deeper appreciation of diversity. At the same time, it strengthened social inclusion and provided opportunities for participants to build international friendships and networks. Another key objective was the development of intercultural competences, communication skills, and democratic values. Participants learned to appreciate cultural differences, address conflicts constructively, and work together on solutions to societal challenges. The project also focused on training participants as multipliers. They gained the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to share their experiences within their local communities and to actively promote diversity, tolerance, and civic engagement beyond the project itself. In this way, the project contributed to the objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme, particularly in the fields of inclusion, diversity, democratic participation, and international cooperation.
