Our project set out to use volunteering as a pathway for skills, employability and active citizenship, while making participation more inclusive across Europe. Concretely, project defined five objectives: 1) Highlight the importance of volunteering for skill improvement and job opportunities in changing communities. 2) Address low participation of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in EU voluntary work. 3) Develop and implement creative, inclusive volunteering approaches so people from diverse backgrounds can access and benefit from volunteering. 4) Improve organisations’ ability to realise quality volunteering projects, leading to increased youth participation and active citizenship at local level. 5) Enhance the capacity of youth-based NGOs and stakeholders engaged in educational and social activities. These aims align with Erasmus+ youth priorities by building youth-worker competences, improving the quality of youth work, and strengthening the international dimension of youth activities.
