Objectives

Voices for Justice: Fostering Human Rights Among European Youth (KA153-YOU) was a two-phase mobility of youth workers led by East West East Germany e.V. with partners Youth Association DRONI (GE), NGO People (UA) and SOF Dağı (TR). The project strengthened youth workers’ competencies in Human Rights Education (HRE) through experiential, non-formal learning based on the Council of Europe’s Compass and Compasito manuals, while promoting anti-hate-speech and counter-cyberbullying practices. Activities took place 16–23 Oct 2024 in Kobuleti, Georgia and 9–15 Dec 2024 in Berchum/Hagen, Germany. Between phases, participants ran local actions in their communities and later shared, evaluated, and scaled these during Phase 2, building a durable transnational network for HRE. From a youth-work practice perspective, the project aimed to: -Train youth workers in HRE so they can plan and implement quality HRE locally, nationally and internationally. - Equip them with Compass/Compasito and other CoE manuals tools to address diverse human-rights issues, foster European values and active citizenship, and counter hate speech and cyberbullying online and offline. - Build a cooperative network that mainstreams HRE methods across partner organisations.
