Objectives

By implementing the "Empowering Youth against Discrimination - EYAD" project, we created a transformative platform for young people across Europe to confront and counteract discrimination in their communities. In an environment where racism, xenophobia, and social exclusion have become alarmingly prevalent, our goal was to empower youth to take an active role in fostering inclusivity, understanding, and resilience. Our primary objectives for EYAD were as follows: Raise Awareness and Foster Empathy: We sought to raise awareness among young Europeans about the realities of discrimination faced by marginalized groups, including refugee youth, individuals with diverse sexual orientations, those from different ethnic backgrounds, and youth with disabilities. By increasing understanding and empathy, we created a generation of young leaders equipped with the knowledge and compassion to advocate for human rights and social justice. Empower Young People as Policy Makers: The project empowered young participants to identify, design, and propose policies that address discrimination within their unique cultural contexts. By giving them the tools and training to develop actionable policies, we encouraged youth to become agents of change who could adapt and advocate for policies that resonate with their communities. Build Cross-Border Collaboration and Solidarity: EYAD aspired to foster a network of young people from various backgrounds and countries, united by a shared commitment to equality and human rights. Through cross-border cooperation, we wanted participants to exchange ideas, share best practices, and learn from each other’s experiences in combating discrimination, ultimately creating a supportive network that transcends borders. Promote Cultural Adaptation and Inclusivity: Recognizing the diverse cultural landscape of Europe, we ensured that all proposed policies and initiatives could be adapted to meet the specific cultural needs of each region. By empowering young people to tailor their advocacy to their cultural conditions, we encouraged a nuanced approach to inclusivity that acknowledges and celebrates diversity. Involve Marginalized Youth in Every Project Stage: Lastly, we wanted youth from marginalized groups to be at the heart of EYAD’s planning, implementation, and follow-up. By ensuring their voices were heard at every step, we created a project that was not only inclusive but also truly representative of the experiences and needs of those most affected by discrimination. https://www.instagram.com/p/DCRkO3pIDbx/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DCRk7MLInRd/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/DCRlueQIAsF/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/DCT2sZjor4Y/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/DDZbeHaoIW8/?img_index=1 https://www.facebook.com/intermezzoung/posts/pfbid0wwx9SiqHm2NLdKCsNarP1BH46VBt4qasarpXhPfzMNQArcAeHTD55pGj72c3ePXrl https://www.facebook.com/intermezzoung/posts/pfbid02R769531qUUW9mXvodUn3yt44aB393gnuUtSNdrPS6X6NmbjxpLvjiBUYVRg215REl https://www.facebook.com/intermezzoung/posts/pfbid02MsaKMpVhdGDSvpFsqStXEimJ7yfojMcuDArivLAFGP8gKwPEka1r4wC9FPgYpZ2Al https://www.instagram.com/p/DM0RQE1IPNW/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/DM0VQsrodmc/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DM0Vf8RocV6/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/DM0VsQpo_ea/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/DM0V1r8oA1_/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/DM0V6VnIedv/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DM0WP0uoxkw/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/DM0WZjrosa3/
