The aim of our project is to create new spaces for participation by supporting young people to take responsibility and implement project ideas. At the heart of the project is a small group of young adults who act as volunteer coordinators to help young people get involved. They work in a decentralised way so that youth participation can take place where the young people live and thus be as low-threshold and inclusive as possible. We want to empower the coordinators to take responsibility, to support young people in their participation and to organise activities successfully. This will create an attractive offer for young people in the region, and local networks will be created and linked. In this way, the project promotes civic engagement and a sense of community at local and national level.
