As part of the NextGen Digital Inclusion project, we pursued the goal of actively involving young people in the digital transformation process and sustainably strengthening their digital skills. In view of advancing digitalisation, it was important to us to ensure that young people become not only consumers but also active shapers of digital society. Our aim with the project was to give all young people the opportunity to raise their voices, develop their skills and actively shape their digital future. The focus was on promoting an inclusive and participatory digital society in which no one is excluded due to a lack of digital skills. The specific objectives of the project were: 1. To train young people in digital skills in order to provide them with the necessary knowledge and abilities to navigate and engage confidently in the digital age. 2. To strengthen the capacities of youth organisations by providing them with training and resources to use digital tools effectively and develop innovative participation formats. 3. To promote the exchange of best practices between different organisations in order to learn from each other and develop common approaches to digital youth initiatives. 4. To contribute to youth policy by using digital platforms to systematically collect the opinions and suggestions of young people and incorporate them into political processes. 5. To make young people's voices heard so that their needs, concerns and hopes could be actively incorporated into political programmes and decision-making processes. 6. To raise awareness of the importance of youth participation in the digital age, both among young people themselves and among political decision-makers and society as a whole. 7. To encourage young people to actively participate in shaping their future and contribute to a more inclusive, youth-centred society. 8. To promote a culture of collaboration and mutual learning between young people and organisations in order to achieve sustainable results. 9. To build sustainable structures and networks that enable young people to participate in digital initiatives in the long term and further expand their active role in society. By implementing the project, we have thus made an important contribution to digital inclusion and strengthening youth participation.
