The goal of our project was to provide young people with opportunities to engage and participate in civic society and democratic life, aiming for meaningful civic, social, cultural, and political engagement, with a special focus on migrants and refugees. Our goals was to motivate young people for active participation in civic life through social dancing and to use it as as a tool to accelerate their integration to the local communities, as dancing is a universal language. Additionally, we sought to connect young people and decision-makers at the local level to contribute to the EU Youth Dialogue. We outlined and achieved the following project objectives: - Involved youth in Social Dance Communities to create a lively mix of locals, people from diverse ethnicities, and international participants, establishing a vibrant and inclusive space for social interaction and providing opportunities for meaningful relationship-building. - Created a communal safe space for shared activities, meeting new people, and expressing their thoughts and ideas to both like-minded people and local decision-makers, contributing to the European integration process. - Supported refugees in building stronger connections within their local communities and achieved deeper integration into society. - Provided young individuals from our target groups with the chance to actively engage and participate in the cultural, social, and civic life of the EU. - Developed a model for using social dance activities as a means of integration that can be adopted in various communities. - Enhanced collaboration among our organizations, displaced youth, and local communities.
