Objectives

„Together we act! Civic society as an active player in collective sponsorship for persons seeking asylum” builds up a team of international young practice experts (20-30 years) to consult the freshly initiated network EASA:Together for the improvement of collective sponsorship processes in Portugal, Spain and Germany. It recognizes civil society as an active player in the reception and integration of newcomers and promotes the participation of those affected from the very beginning: process design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, in order to 1. Empower the young activists with refugee experience to use their experience of hardship as key component for policy development; 2. Value the knowledge and energy of young Europeans to foster active citizenship and engagement in the community, and 3. Generate knowledge-based legal and policy proposals to make future orientated sustainable work and contribute to more humane and safe pathways for and mutually respectful integration.
