The main objective of YOUpART was to strengthen the capacity of youth organisations and youth workers to use innovative arts-based approaches in non-formal education and improve the quality of youth work. Through cooperation between organisations from Bulgaria, Germany, and Spain, the project aimed to develop, test, and disseminate a practical training methodology that supports inclusion and competence development. The project specifically sought to improve the social and professional inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities by strengthening their key competences, self-confidence, participation, and employability. YOUpART also aimed to promote cooperation and exchange of practices between youth, arts, and community actors and to provide youth workers with practical tools to work more effectively with diverse and disadvantaged target groups. Through the developed Training Toolbox and pilot activities, the project intended to create sustainable and transferable results with value beyond the project partnership.
YOUpART was developed to respond to the growing need for innovative and inclusive approaches in youth work to support young people with fewer opportunities and improve their social and professional integration. The partner organisations identified common challenges in Bulgaria, Germany, and Spain, including limited access to quality non-formal education, low development of key competences, reduced participation, and barriers to education and employment for disadvantaged young people. The project addressed these needs through an arts-based educational approach, using creative and participatory methods to strengthen inclusion, engagement, and personal development. At the same time, YOUpART supported youth workers and organisations in developing new competences and practical tools to work effectively with diverse target groups. Through international cooperation, the project developed, tested, and disseminated an open-access Training Toolbox containing educational resources, methodologies, and practical tools to support competence development, inclusion, and employability of young people.
