The project aimed to strengthen the capacity of young people and youth workers to engage in sustainability and inclusion-focused youth work. Its objectives were to develop participants’ practical knowledge of eco-friendly practices, foster intercultural dialogue among youth from diverse backgrounds, equip youth workers with digital and participatory sustainability tools, create accessible educational resources, and contribute to the quality and recognition of youth work addressing environmental responsibility and diversity. These objectives were achieved through structured learning activities and cooperation between partners from Germany, Poland, and Lithuania.
The Eco-Cultural Workshops: Building a Sustainable Future Together project was implemented to address two interconnected needs: environmental sustainability and social inclusion among young people, particularly migrants and refugees. The consortium recognised that youth often lack opportunities to develop green skills and engage in intercultural learning that supports their integration into local communities. At the same time, youth workers needed new methods to connect sustainability education with inclusive, culturally sensitive approaches. The project responded to these needs by creating innovative, practical, and collaborative learning experiences that combined eco-friendly practices with cultural exchange.
