By implementing the project "What Makes Us Different/What Makes Us Alike - North to South, Rural to Urban" (WMUD/WMUA), our overarching goal was: Facilitate Cultural Exchange: Create a platform for meaningful cultural exchange between UngKunstThy and Mundo Quinta participants, with the goal of establishing an ongoing, mutual collaboration. Promote Mutual Learning: Establish an environment where participants could learn from each other's experiences, techniques, and methods within the realm of performing arts. Together we would develop and exchange creative methodologies in theater production. Foster Community Building: Facilitate the formation of cross-cultural friendships and networks among young participants from very different parts of the EU. Promote Understanding and Tolerance: Through collaborative theater performances, workshops, and shared activities, promote understanding, tolerance, and appreciation for diversity. Empower Youth as Cultural Ambassadors: Empower young participants to become cultural ambassadors in their respective communities, carrying forward the values of collaboration, understanding, and openness. Address Mental Health Challenges: Provide a supportive environment for participants to explore and express their thoughts, emotions, and concerns through theater and artistic expression. The project sought to create a transformative experience for the young participants. By addressing cultural divides, fostering collaboration, and promoting understanding, we aimed to empower the youth to become agents of positive change, contributing to a future characterized by inclusivity, interconnectedness, and mutual respect.
