Objectives

We wanted to experience museum programmes and exchange knowledge with museum education specialists in both the Netherlands and Denmark in order to develop more inclusive programmes and engage a wider audience. Through new methodological approaches, we can also improve existing programmes and materials.

Background

The Education Centre of the Estonian National Museum is well informed about developments in Estonian (museum) education. We feel that we are at a crossroads where we need the experiences of others in order to improve our work. We wish to gain inspiration for better engaging and communicating with communities, school students, and individual visitors (from families to seniors). As the largest museum in Estonia, we also feel a responsibility to find new solutions that we can introduce to others.
