Objectives

The accredited Erasmus+ programme year focused on developing and strengthening inclusive competences among educators, youth workers, and trainers working with diverse learner groups. Through three international training courses: InEducation, EDU Games, and EQUALITY: Empowering Quality Understanding and Learning Inclusive Education, the project aimed to enhance the participants capacity to create accessible, engaging and equality-based learning environments across Europe. The overall objective was to translate the values of inclusion, diversity and participation into practical skills and everyday educational practice. The activities were designed to address a recurring need identified in our previous projects and among our network partners: educators and youth workers often share a strong motivation to promote inclusion but lack methodological tools, practical strategies, and confidence to adapt non-formal learning methods for mixed-ability groups. The first training course, InEducation (Tallinn, Estonia), targeted educators and youth professionals from Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Moldova, and Armenia. Its main goal was to build a common understanding of inclusive education principles and practices. Participants explored case studies, developed inclusive lesson adaptations, and strengthened their capacity to create learning spaces where everyone - regardless of ability or background - can participate equally. The second course, EDU Games (Tallinn, Estonia), focused on gamified learning as an inclusive method. The objective was to enable participants from Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Finland, Germany, and Portugal to design and test “Escape Room” educational games that foster teamwork, problem-solving, and social inclusion. By the end of the course, participants co-created four complete escape-room scenarios adaptable for schools and youth centres, integrating accessibility and inclusion principles into their design. The third course, EQUALITY (Yerevan, Armenia), expanded the network to include partners from Georgia and Armenia, strengthening the regional dimension of the project. Its objective was to deepen understanding of inclusive education within multicultural contexts and provide participants with advanced skills to identify barriers, adapt methods, and promote equity through education. The course also served as a platform for South-North cooperation and experience exchange on inclusion and diversity policies. Across all activities, specific objectives included: Enhancing the professional capacity of educators and youth workers to plan, deliver and evaluate inclusive education activities; Developing creative, learner-centred tools to engage mixed-ability groups through non-formal and experiential learning; Strengthening cross-sectoral and cross-border cooperation among schools, NGOs and youth organisations working with inclusion; Promoting the values of diversity, equality and participation in line with Erasmus+ priorities and the European Inclusion and Diversity Strategy. The project was also aligned with our long-term accreditation goals: to create a sustainable network of inclusion ambassadors across partner countries; to integrate inclusive practices into organisational cultures; and to ensure that every mobility activity contributes to a broader European understanding of inclusion and participation. In this sense, the three training courses represented a coherent pathway - moving from understanding (InEducation), to application (EDU Games), and finally to empowerment and leadership (EQUALITY). Together, they helped build a professional community equipped with the competences, mindset, and collaborative spirit required to make inclusion a lived reality in education and youth work.
