Objectives

We set out to give young people a real voice and something to show for it. With street art, we wanted them to talk about what matters where they live, choose a message together, and turn it into a mural and a small exhibition. The goal was simple: more participation, more initiative, and the confidence that comes from creating something public as a team. We also wanted the EU Youth Goals to feel close and clear. Using podcasts, mixed groups learned the basics—shaping a story, recording, and editing—and then made a short episode in their own words. This wasn’t about perfect audio; it was about understanding the Goals in plain language, practising communication, and having a link they could share with friends, family, and peers. Finally, we aimed to make everyday youth work stronger. We brought experienced youth workers together to swap safe, practical ways to use AI with young people—how to ask better questions, avoid unfair results, keep everyone safe, and run simple activities with the equipment most centres already have. The idea was to leave with small tools people would actually use the next week, not the next year. Across all of this, we kept inclusion at the centre: balanced groups, support for different language levels, and roles that let everyone contribute. We created public moments so learning didn’t stay in the room—the mural and its captions, the podcast premiere, a short page of AI tips. We followed Erasmus+ visibility rules, and we helped participants capture their learning through Youthpass so they could name what changed for them and carry it forward.
