We aimed to widen the awareness and understanding of the value gained from including Forest Therapy tools into youth work practice. Our aim was to gather a diverse range of youth workers from multidisciplinary practice and provide an immersive experience where we could innovate on best practices that were transferable to both urban and rural settings. Participants: * Leave with a lived (embodied) experience of the benefits both therapeutic and educational, that engaged time in green spaces provides. * Expand their motivation, knowledge and toolkit for supporting youth to engage with, value, protect and benefit from these spaces. * Leave with practiced facilitation of tools applicable to use in diverse urban, rural, cultural and geographic settings including their own work environments. * Recognise their own effective methods, strengths and areas for growth, adapt new methods into their practice, innovate and spread their learning to their peers, organisational culture and further. Youth Work and Partners: * Increased interest, appreciation and action in applying the techniques and benefits of Forest Therapy to work with Youth. Facilitation team: * Learn from participants past experience and their feedback/ideas of any new or renewed learning experienced throughout the training. * Opportunity to receive this feedback from a more culturally diverse group of professionals than they may usually experience in their daily practice. (Our practices often do not facilitate or fund session delivery to peers, only youth.) Youth: * Access to better designed programs and more equipped, creative workers leading to greater time spent engaging with natural spaces and the improved learning outcomes that follow. * Improved awareness of the therapeutic and preventative value of Forest Medicine for their mental wellbeing; access to a set of potentially life-saving and life-affirming tools achievable in their own green spaces.
