Objectives

We want to carry out this project because we recognize the critical importance of addressing the physical and mental well-being of young individuals, particularly those who have experienced traumatic events such as domestic or sexual violence, abandonment, toxic relationships, bullying, being a refugee, discrimination, or other forms of emotional trauma. These experiences can have lasting and profound impacts on their lives, making it imperative that they receive the right support and care. It is our moral duty to equip youth workers and educators with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to provide effective and empathetic assistance to these young individuals. Furthermore, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality and innovation of youth work. The youth work sector is continuously evolving, and it is essential that professionals working in this field have access to cutting-edge practices and insights. Our project not only addresses immediate challenges but also promotes innovative approaches to youth work that can be widely applied. The prevention of bullying is another reason we want to carry out this project. Bullying is a pervasive issue affecting young people worldwide, often leading to severe emotional and psychological trauma. By training youth workers to address the emotional and psychological aftermath of bullying, we contribute to a safer and more inclusive environment for all youth. we have carefully designed our project with the following objectives: 1. To equip 30 youth workers participating in the project with skills and tools for their daily youth work to provide effective support to young individuals who have experienced trauma. 2. To improve the mental health and well-being of EU vulnerable youth, including refugees and those with fewer opportunities, through trauma-informed care. 3. To create and disseminate a comprehensive PDF guide containing detailed instructions and resources for European youth workers on how to effectively work with traumatized youngsters. 4. To contribute to the prevention of bullying and discrimination among EU youth by training youth workers to address the emotional and psychological consequences of these experiences 5. To promote the Erasmus Plus Program and strengthen the capacity of the applicant and partner NGOs by facilitating the exchange of best practices and knowledge. Our project will equip youth workers with the essential knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to provide empathetic support to young individuals who have experienced trauma. Simultaneously, we are committed to promoting the mental health and well-being of EU youth by facilitating trauma-informed care. Also, by enhancing the quality of youth work practices, we strive to provide innovative approaches and insights to youth workers, ensuring they are well-prepared to address the complex challenges faced by today's youth.
