Objectives

OBJECTIVE: the present socio-educational plan is for the youth workers (Ywrs)to learn and communicate how the possibilities offered by the art of theater and the interconnected arts (pantomime, music, dance, painting) can be used and how it can act transformatively promoting the inclusion and strengthening, mentally and socio-emotionally, of young people with and without disabilities and to bring about changes in attitudes, cultural beliefs, and other social, legal and economic policies. Synthesizing the knowledge and experience we will gain, we look forward to the creation of a Network for Art and Disability, which will work to serve the stated purpose and corresponding goals as described. Goals: Through their participation in the program and through the content and methods chosen by each participant (movements to the 6 company countries), the YWrs aim to learn: 1. how young people with disabilities can express themselves, and communicate their experiences to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and promote social change, 2. how engaging with theater stimulates feelings of social and cultural sensitivity, 3. how to strengthen creative expression (creative arts) and a positive sense of self, 4. how to recognize the therapeutic benefits of art (art therapy), and its impact on the personal development and emotional well-being of all young people with and without disabilities, 5. how to encourage viewers to see beyond the label of disability and appreciate the artistic value and creativity of people with disabilities; 6. how they can incorporate principles of universal design in art spaces (environmental & electronic accessibility) to remove barriers and promote participation, 7. that through art the concept of diversity can be promoted, dominant social perceptions can be challenged and we can move to a more inclusive and fair society, More general objectives: 8. to network, observe, and exchange useful knowledge, methods, and practices, 9. through non-formal learning processes and structured interaction activities to cultivate life values such as acceptance of diversity, respect for the diversity and personality of others, solidarity, access to art and culture, 10. YWers become more capable of acting as multipliers by transferring their knowledge and experiences not only to their organization but to the entire community, 11. for participants to improve language and digital skills, 12. to recognize the acquired skills from the specific activity which will be certified with the Youth Pass which will be granted, 13. to participate and expand the network of cooperating organizations for the implementation of future programs, 14. through knowledge, experience, and the cultivation of the skills above to achieve improvement in their professional, personal, and social development, 15. to make general and more specific improvements by collecting the material resulting from the daily reflection, the individual report (participant survey), and the short informal interviews given by certain participants 16. cultural osmosis and the exchange of cultural products, 17. through the cooperation to communicate the European principles and priorities and to strengthen the European identity of participating organizations
