The primary goal of our project is to empower youth to become effective agents of change in addressing climate change challenges and enhancing urban resilience. From the perspective of youth work practice, our objectives are multifaceted: - Raise Awareness: We aim to increase youth awareness about the impacts of climate change on urban environments, particularly focusing on flooding, extreme weather events, and related hazards. By fostering a deeper understanding of these issues, we empower youth to recognize the importance of climate resilience in their communities. - Build Capacity: Our project seeks to build the capacity of youth in understanding and implementing Blue-Green Infrastructure (BGI) principles. Through interactive workshops, discussions, and case studies, participants will acquire practical skills and knowledge applicable to urban resilience initiatives. - Foster Leadership: We aim to inspire youth to assume leadership roles in advocating for climate action and driving positive change in their communities. By providing them with the necessary tools and resources, we encourage youth to take proactive steps towards sustainable urban development. - Facilitate Peer Learning: The project serves as a platform for peer-to-peer learning and knowledge exchange among youth from diverse backgrounds. By fostering collaboration and cross-pollination of ideas, we encourage innovation and collective action in addressing climate change challenges. - Promote Engagement: Our project aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment where youth feel empowered to actively engage in climate resilience efforts. Through networking opportunities and collaborative projects, we encourage meaningful participation and ownership among youth stakeholders.
