By implementing the "Rails of Europe" project, Horizons for Youth GR, in partnership with the Municipality of Pallini, aims to empower young Europeans, especially those with fewer opportunities, by exposing them to the rich cultural heritage and diversity of Europe through sustainable travel. The objectives of the project from a youth work practice perspective include fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of European cultures, enhancing participants' environmental consciousness through sustainable travel practices, and promoting social inclusion by providing equal opportunities for all participants to engage in this transformative experience. The project also seeks to equip young individuals with valuable life skills, such as intercultural communication, adaptability, and digital storytelling, thereby contributing to their personal and professional development. Through these objectives, the project aspires to cultivate a generation of informed, empathetic, and environmentally responsible European citizens.
