Objectives

When we launched this Erasmus+ KA131 project, we hoped to continue advancing the internationalization process at our school and to strengthen the European dimension of our Advanced Vocational Training programs. The project was conceived as an opportunity for both students and faculty to benefit from educational and professional experiences in other European countries, thereby expanding the possibilities our school offers beyond the national level. For students, we hoped that study mobility would allow them to develop their academic and professional skills in an international context, while also gaining greater autonomy, adaptability, and self-confidence. We consider it particularly valuable for students to experience different educational, cultural, and work environments, improve their language skills, and discover different ways of understanding and pursuing their profession. Likewise, Erasmus+ makes these opportunities accessible to students who, due to their financial circumstances, might not otherwise have the chance to pursue an educational experience in another European country on their own initiative. As for the faculty, job-shadowing exchanges were designed as a tool to gain firsthand knowledge of other schools and institutions, observe different methodologies and organizational approaches, and establish contacts with professionals from other countries. We hoped these experiences would help us incorporate new ideas into our teaching practice, reflect on our own procedures, and identify potential improvements in the education we provide to our students. Overall, one of the objectives was to ensure that the mobility programs were not merely individual experiences for the participants, but that they would have a positive impact on the entire educational community. The exchange of experiences, knowledge, and best practices gained during the stays abroad was intended to enrich our school and strengthen its openness toward Europe. Therefore, we hoped that the project would help foster a culture of internationalization that is increasingly integrated into our school, promoting cooperation with European institutions, mutual learning, and the incorporation of new perspectives in both the teaching and the management and organization of our Advanced Vocational Training programs.
