Objectives

The decisions taken during the implementation of this project are based on the development of a comprehensive internationalisation strategy for the centre, a fundamental pillar guided by the ECHE Charter and its objectives. This project is being carried out in conjunction with other KA121 and KA171 programmes – both our own and those within the Trade Consortium – as well as with KA202 (during the first year of the project’s duration, and solely with the KA-122 project and the KA-171 Consortium during the second year of the project in question), which encourages the participation of the entire educational community and fosters an international outlook. Through the development of this project, our school has sought to: - Promote academic excellence and equal opportunities through access to transnational experiences that improve access to the labour market. - To enrich the curriculum through exposure to new methodologies and innovative working practices. - To foster cooperation with partner institutions and innovative companies in our sectors of production, focusing on the needs of the labour market. - To improve communication skills in EU languages to help students integrate into a global labour market. - To increase participation in projects and mobility schemes for both students and teaching staff. - To participate in international forums, building strategic relationships with other countries to discuss matters of common interest, promote cooperation on regulatory and other issues, and resolve bilateral problems. - To promote agreements with business leaders for the development of new technologies and cutting-edge research. - Enhance our centre’s international standing and appeal so that it becomes a magnet for other European and international teaching staff and students, where appropriate. - Improve and standardise operational and management procedures. - Ensure an inclusive, sustainable and gender-equitable education that fosters European citizenship. To improve operational procedures, ensure transparency and enhance the project’s document management, these processes have been incorporated into our quality management system, which has been developed in accordance with the international ISO 9001 standard, thereby achieving the digitisation of processes and greater sustainability. The Internationalisation Department remains active, with allocated working hours and scheduled weekly meetings, to improve the management process. It provides assistance and support in areas such as: linguistic and cultural preparation for candidates (pre-departure Italian and French courses and English and French proficiency tests at the school itself), logistical support with travel arrangements, finding accommodation and obtaining the European Health Insurance Card, processing insurance and recognising mobility placements with a Europass Mobility Certificate, which fosters students’ sense of security and confidence, contributes to the success of the mobility placements and encourages participation. We can confirm that the project has been a success across the four key areas of our educational community: 1. Students - Mobility placements for work experience in European companies related to their professional specialism. - Improvement in technical and professional skills. - Increased employability and integration into the labour market (in some cases, they have been offered jobs there) - Development of language skills in each of the working languages used (English and italian). - Strengthening of transferable skills: autonomy, adaptability, teamwork, initiative and intercultural competence. 2. Teaching staff and other staff - Updating teaching methods and technology. - Exchanging best practice with European institutions and businesses. - Improving teachers’ language skills. - Introducing innovative teaching methods into the classroom. - Building international professional networks. 3. Institution - Greater internationalisation of the institution. - Consolidation of agreements with new European institutions and businesses. - Improvement of management and quality procedures. - Increased institutional visibility and prestige. - Integration of the European dimension into the institution’s Educational Project as an essential hallmark of its identity. - Development of new opportunities for cooperation and future Erasmus+ projects; the resulting synergies help to expand the institution’s network of contacts. 4. Business Community Partner companies also benefit: - Access to students with international experience. - Incorporation of European best practices and innovation. - Creation of international collaboration networks. - Greater alignment between training and the needs of the European labour market. From a strategic perspective, it helps to make the centre a more international, innovative organisation that is better connected to the global world.
