With D.A.R.L.I.N.G.S., we aimed to demonstrate that dance and the movement arts can be effective tools to promote inclusive education, well-being, and sustainability. The project sought to build a bridge between culture, sustainability, and adult education, developing innovative methodologies that foster ecological awareness, creativity, and social cohesion. Through collaboration among European organizations, we sought to strengthen the competences of educators, encourage adult participation in sustainable learning environments, and produce transferable pedagogical materials. Our ultimate goal was to promote sustainable and inclusive educational practices that create a real impact on individuals and communities.
The D.A.R.L.I.N.G.S. project (Dance and Rhythm for Learning and Inclusion in Natural, Green and Sustainable Spaces) was born from the need to explore how dance and the movement arts can contribute to adult education, social inclusion, and sustainability. The proposal stems from the belief that the body, movement, and culture are essential tools to promote a more conscious and respectful relationship with oneself, with others, and with the environment. The project addresses the need to create innovative educational methodologies that integrate artistic practice with the values of ecological transition and sustainable development. Through the exchange between European organizations, the project promotes research, training, and the creation of pedagogical materials that help educators design activities linking culture and sustainability. Its ultimate goal is to foster a more inclusive, sustainable, and creative form of education.
