Objectives

Through this project, Gantalcalá has sought to strengthen youth work and promote values of inclusion, sustainability, emotional well-being and active participation in line with the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme. The project was designed with the following main objectives: 1. To promote inclusion and diversity through international mobility and non-formal education, involving young people and youth workers from different social, cultural and geographical backgrounds. 2. To develop the skills and capacities of youth workers, improving the quality of social and educational initiatives aimed at young people. 3. To encourage young people to participate in the social and political life of their communities, both locally and internationally, promoting their active citizenship. 4. To promote community sustainability and rural development through activities that foster youth leadership, social entrepreneurship and environmental awareness. 5. To raise awareness of mental health and personal well-being, integrating physical and emotional self-care as tools for more sustainable and humane youth work. Across the board, the project sought to create spaces for intercultural learning and strengthen European cooperation networks between youth organisations. The ultimate aim was to empower young people and professionals in the social field to act as agents of change within their communities, promoting sustainability, solidarity and citizen participation.
