Objectives

Be Real: (Ex) Change Wellbeing is an exchange created by young people and organizations that work with them on the topic of wellbeing. This topic is valuable because it is represented at different levels in young people's lives, especially in these global post-pandemic times. They asked themselves and us: "What can I do as a young person to improve my well-being? What tools can I use to improve my mental health? How can I identify if my relationships are healthy? How can I improve my self-care and that of others?" How do we stay up-to-date on these topics? Based on their needs, we decided to take this as our focus for this exchange and create this safe space to discover, learn, and exchange on the topic of well-being through a peer-to-peer methodology and create new actions in each territory. The expected impact on participants was: * Break the taboo and promote free expression on topics such as mental health and well-being, which are often stigmatized. * Adopt a healthy lifestyle in every sense—body, mind, and nutrition—with daily habits that can contribute to personal well-being. * Exchange of good practices among young people, which can help achieve the expected impact (the more practices they share, the more healthy habits they can incorporate into their daily routines). * Recognition of young people's different perspectives, due to their different backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and knowledge. * Participants' recognition of their own skills, talents, and ideas, and a belief in the possibility of developing them. * An active role in society, in the issues they believe in. And an active role in forming opinions about well-being and how to speak out and share their experiences with others. * An improvement in their sense of being a European citizen. * An improvement in their skills in respect, empathy, communication, and tolerance. * Belief in their skills, which can encourage them to share their exchange story with peers, family members, partners, and friends, and encourage them to participate in the European exchange program. * Ability to recognize themselves on an emotional and personal level to improve their quality of life * Improved self-management and research skills, as well as autonomy * Improved confidence in their foreign language skills. Likewise, the project was conducted in English, with time for language exchange (Catalan and Italian), which improves foreign language proficiency for all young people and their trainers.
