Mental health and wellbeing is very important at all stages of life, but it is especially vital in youth. Young people are at a stage of development where they are experiencing many physical, emotional and social changes, and it is important that they take care of their mental health in order to cope with these changes in a healthy way. It also plays an important role in the development of social and emotional skills, which can help young people to have healthy relationships and make wise choices. It is therefore essential that young people's mental health is properly addressed to help them develop properly. Mental health in youth society is a very important issue, as young people face a number of challenges and pressures that can affect their mental and emotional well-being. These challenges can include academic and social stress, bullying and discrimination, pressure to conform to certain expectations and stereotypes, social isolation, substance abuse and other mental health problems, among many other factors. According to the WHO, around 800,000 people die each year as a result of suicide, which equates to a suicide rate of 10.7 per 100,000 people. It is the second leading cause of death among 15-29 year olds worldwide and the leading cause of unnatural death in Spain, where 10 people take their own lives every day. The Valencian Community is one of the communities in which the suicide rate among young people has increased in recent years, being one of the highest in Spain. Provisional data provided by the Regional Ministry of Health show that in 2021 a total of 400 deaths were registered in the Valencian Community with "suicide" as the basic cause, which means a gross suicide mortality rate of 7.9 per 100,000 inhabitants. Almost 81% of young Valencians claim to have suffered from stress and more than 73% from anxiety, but only 11% would seek professional help in the first situation and 19% in the second. According to data from the Ministry of Health, suicide is the leading cause of death in Spanish people aged 15 to 34. Mental health plays an important role in suicide among young people, adding that most people who attempt suicide have some kind of mental health problem, such as depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder or schizophrenia. These disorders can make people feel hopeless, hopeless and hopeless, which increases the risk of suicide. In full collaboration and according to the identification of the problem and its severity in the respective countries, the Ataronjats association and 6 countries in collaboration will be involved in the development of this initiative called "Never Walk Alone", which proposes to: -To show young people the importance and raise awareness of mental health in today's society; -How to detect certain traits that can affect people in our close circles; -Methods to improve our mental health and their application to our daily lives, among other objectives. The project arises from a problem that is not given enough importance and which we wish to be taken more seriously: mental health and the increase in suicides among young people around the world due to the deterioration of mental health. Because of the disruption brought about by the digital transition and the existence of so many social networks, teleworking, as well as other situations related to isolation towards the digital and leaving aside the social and face-to-face, it is giving rise to serious mental health problems, among many others. It affects us more than we really believe as a society and we want to provide awareness and importance to young people, so that they learn how to improve their mental health and identify possible behaviours or patterns of others around them who may need support. By doing this, we would grow a more aware and responsible society with their mental health, which could deal with the problem in a better way, bringing down the alarming figures that are now occurring.
