"We are the world" is born from the global reality in which migratory flows have been present in most of the different stages of history. This mobility of people around the world continues to be a current reality due to different causes: economic poverty, lack of basic services due to the scarcity of natural resources (water and food), armed conflicts, etc.... These causes are often interrelated. These migratory flows are not well received by all sectors of the population because, at the same time as the world population needs the solidarity network to expand, the radicalisation of extreme right-wing political parties and the gaining of followers for them is the order of the day. This social tension, fuelled by news and press headlines that are also extreme in their ideology, leads to difficulties in the integration processes of these migrants. A situation that, added to the harsh reality of emigration, makes their settlement in the new locations even more complicated emotionally and practically. Therefore, this project aims to create a series of strategies to help both organisations working with migrants and migrants themselves to find resources in their cities of origin to facilitate their new life. On the other hand, another of the main motivations is to make the local population aware of the benefits of receiving migrants by breaking down prejudices and misconceptions about these people. Finally, it is intended that this message will be disseminated throughout Europe, as well as the resources developed for this purpose. In this way, the learning from each activity will be focused on a practical level so that both the participants and the collaborating organisations will benefit from it. Thus, the objectives of this project can be classified into general objectives and specific objectives: GENERAL OBJECTIVES -To show the reality of migratory flows in Europe. - Promote a more empathetic and caring society. - To enable everyone to feel that they belong to society. - To promote critical thinking among young people. - To create a meeting place where the concerns and thoughts of the most active young people are more active. - To consolidate a social bond between the young participants. - Promote values such as respect, tolerance, equality and solidarity; the values of social cohesion in the EU. of social cohesion in the EU. - To promote knowledge of other cultures and mutual understanding through the exchange of experiences. - To create a European awareness among participants. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES - To know the social realities that promote emigration. - To learn about cultural differences in order to break down stereotypes. - To promote harmonious coexistence between different cultural groups. - To develop a series of strategies to fight racism and xenophobia. - To understand the benefits of coexistence between different cultures on a social and economic level - To understand the differences between pride in belonging to a particular territory and hatred of other cultures and nationalities. Carrying out the activities aimed at achieving the above objectives will promote a series of work skills that they will be able to use in their field of work: -Development of the capacity for empathy and solidarity, as the central focus of this project is the reality of migration processes and the situation that these people find themselves in the places of destination. -Development of teamwork skills, as most of the activities will be carried out in small groups where they will have to work with agreed ideas and arguments. -Development of creativity, as they will have to propose certain activities before, during and after the project, including dissemination activities afterwards. -Development of group management skills, as the activities proposed by each small group will have to be guided by the members of the group. -Development of the argumentative capacity and critical spirit, as all the activities are focused on the analysis of reality, based on real experiences and the search for information in reliable sources to dismantle false press hoaxes and radical ideas. -Development of networking skills, as participants will mostly come from organisations in which they work or volunteer, thus creating new options for collaborative work at European level.
