With the implementation of the "Rights in Dialogue" project, our objectives from the perspective of youth work practice are as follows: - Youth empowerment: We aim to empower young people with disabilities (DFC) to become active agents in advocating for their rights as expressed in the CRPD, encouraging meaningful participation in society by fostering involvement in democratic life and civic engagement. - Promotion of inclusion and diversity: Our goal is to promote an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and combats discrimination, especially towards individuals with disabilities. We strive to encourage their full and effective participation in the community. - Human Rights awareness: We seek to increase awareness and understanding of human rights, particularly those established in the CRPD, among participating young people and their communities, enabling them to identify and defend their rights in an informed manner. - Fostering participation in democratic life: From the perspective of youth work, we aim to promote the active participation of young people in democratic life, providing them with tools and skills to engage in decision-making and contribute to building a more just and inclusive society. - Creation of networks and intercultural bonds: Our project aims to establish connections among young people of different nationalities, promoting intercultural dialogue and building a European identity based on mutual respect and understanding. - Offering a self-determination experience: The exchange itself serves as a learning and empowerment experience for self-determination and autonomy. Through it, we seek to generate a positive impact on the lives of young people, allowing them to coexist with peers from various nationalities, step out of their familiar environment, undergo the experience of a journey, and live a daily life with responsibilities in personal care and household chores. All of these aspects provide a unique opportunity for personal enrichment for young people with disabilities.
