Our primary goal is to create a tight community in which all participants can feel comfortable being themselves and exploring who they are, feel comfortable relying on others as they get to know each other, discovering just how far their body can take them and how much we can train it to be stronger and more attune with our mind, exposing them to stunning landscapes they might have never had the chance to see. All mental health activities will be focused on looking inwards AND outwards, we seek introspection but also to create a space in which they feel safe both sharing and listening. We will practice active listening and we hope participants can open up and be vulnerable and sincere (to themselves and to the group). Our project is a journey, in multiple ways. We will be hiking over 100 km in the most beautiful landscapes, but everyone will also embark in a very personal one too. We understand participants will come from completely different backgrounds and will be at different stages of their emotional journeys and so we don’t expect them all to cover the same ground, to walk the same steps, to get to the same place. There is no finish line, no emotional check-list to complete, everyone will be on their own path, but no one will be alone, since we’ll all be walking together.
