The seminar, "Measures of Protecting Young Victims Of Same-Sex Couple Violence" is proposed as an initiative for in-depth study to respond to and raise awareness about SAME-SEX COUPLE VIOLENCE that affects a large number of young people in Europe within the LGBTQ+ community. Its purpose is to dominate and control the victim. It refers to situations or relationships that occur within the same gender. This type of violence is an invisible reality that lacks its own legal tool and sufficient social and media attention. It affects the dignity, freedom, and well-being of the young people who suffer from it and can have serious physical, psychological, emotional, and social consequences. "European Council" has expressed great concern about this type of youth violence and has urged "Member States" to take urgent measures to protect victims and punish aggressors; but despite the great efforts, the reality is different. The "Istanbul Convention" in 2014 was the first international legal instrument to recognize Intra-Gender violence as a form of domestic violence that does not have the same protection as gender-based violence. The Spanish Government, in the "Law 4/2023, of February 28," states: "...for the real and effective equality of trans individuals and for guaranteeing the rights of LGTBI people, recognizes the right to self determination of sexual and gender identity...". This reflects Spain's progress in protecting and promoting the human rights of all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation, through measures aimed at preventing and combating discrimination and violence against the LGTBI community. General Objective: Conduct an in-depth study on the causes, factors, consequences, and forms of intra-genre youth violence. Design action protocols and guidelines that include effective prevention and protection measures aimed at supporting victims by creating a safer, more tolerant, inclusive, and respectful environment based on human rights. Secondary Objectives: - Detection of possible groups of vulnerable young people to same-sex couple violence. - Promotion of respect and tolerance towards sexual diversity. - Visibility and awareness of the problem at the EU level. - Design of action parameters that serve as networking in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment. - Contribution to creating tolerant, inclusive, and non-discriminatory societies. - Support for goals and challenges against youth same-sex couple violence violence in cooperation with all parties involved at the local, regional, national, and EU levels. - Establishment of networks and alliances to join forces for a common goal. - Visibility of the Erasmus+ program and CES as an effective tool for addressing social and youth issues. The activity will take place in Las Rozas (Spain) from November 14-18, 2024. It will involve a total of 12 organizations from different geographical areas, with the participation of 26 expert youth workers, two trainers (experts in the field), and support staff (11 of the total participants will have inclusion support). The activity will be carried out through non-formal education methods, and the working language will be English. The aim is to create (or improve) and develop new tools, skills, and competencies. The working methodology will be based on the "Walt Disney" technique, designed to generate and evaluate new ideas and action protocols. It will involve a deep study of the issue, combining theoretical-practical content based on interactive learning in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment, encouraging open dialogue among youth workers and networking. The goal is to develop sustainable and digital alliances for the transferability of knowledge, and to implement them with young people in their workplaces. The activity will include workshops, presentations-debates, visits, individual and group evaluations, lectures, etc. Despite all the efforts of governments, social agents, and organizations, it is still necessary to continue joining forces to combat same-sex couple violence that undermines human rights, democratic life, and coexistence. It is essential to prevent, report, and combat this violence by promoting respect, equality, and gender diversity in all areas of society.
