Urban Circus Lab II has been an international training experience focused on the use of circus as an educational, artistic and social transformation tool in youth work. The main objective of the project was to train professionals in the youth field through circus methodologies applied to inclusion, diversity, personal development and community cohesion. The training took place in Huesca (Spain) and brought together 21 participants from six European organisations. The programme combined practical and theoretical sessions with collective reflection on topics such as gender equality, interculturality, body pedagogy and stage creation with a social perspective. The specific objectives were: To promote circus methodologies that foster creativity, physical activity and self-awareness as tools to generate impact on young people. To strengthen personal and social competences such as empathy, active listening, respect and tolerance. To enhance group cohesion and intercultural competences, encouraging respect for cultural diversity. To facilitate active participation and the exchange of opinions through spaces of collective reflection. To provide youth workers with new pedagogical tools that improve the quality of their projects and activities. To foster participants’ confidence, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work in teams. Overall, the project aimed to inspire participants to become agents of change, capable of applying circus in their daily work with young people and in their communities, thus contributing to building more inclusive and cohesive societies.
